Playing with a palette – Living Coral

As you all know “Living coral” (Pantone 16-1546) is the color of the year 2019 and here I am ready to go all about coral inspirations and combinations (Reason: I am a diehard coral addict). The name of the color is derived from a marine sea animal called coral found adorning the bottom of the ocean. It is a fresh and vibrant shade which can be combined with numerous other pantones to get that perfect combo. As a coral lover I would suggest coral as a stand-alone color because of its feminine and dynamic character.

Living coral reminds me of summer, vacations and sunsets. It is a naturally engaging color that you cannot miss especially in the latest iPhones and runway looks of top designers like Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs, etc. Many factors like technology, fashion trends, art, design and social media influence the color of the year and I am definitely hoping to see more of this energetic hue this year!.

Coral with teal and white amazingly compliments each other while combining yellow with coral can be warm and festive. Taupe and grey shades give a more sober feel when combined with coral. It can be a great accent for most palettes and that being the best part, whether you are wearing it or decorating with it, there are no limitations because it can be bold as well as feminine and everything that you want it to be!

Here are a few stunning combinations that I created for the love of coral! I am totally dreaming of working with these palettes for my upcoming projects at GG (Maybe I should start with a coral punch first) and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for coral lovers this year! .

Wishing you all a super colorful (color me coral kinda) New Year!!
